Simply horrible news.

By the way, I watched the first episode of that TV adaptation you mention and thought it a very pale and tame imitation of Izzo's novel (not to mention that Delon, whom I've always liked, is about 30 years too old for the Fabio Montale character). Can understand why you would have been put off by it. The book is so much more electric and provocative, though.Richardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01746599416342846897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1911087927983597831.post-90657542986356550582015-11-14T12:21:30.880-05:002015-11-14T12:21:30.880-05:00Jill, nice to hear from you after so long! Whatever, good luck finding your Izzo-esque holiday potpourri. However, this first book in his Marseille trilogy was all that you say it sounds like plus just ridiculously high energy. Very much looking forward to the next two volumes!Richardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01746599416342846897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1911087927983597831.post-39092218560726883252015-11-14T06:02:16.976-05:002015-11-14T06:02:16.976-05:00I let myself be put off of Izzo by the TV films wi...I let myself be put off of Izzo by the TV films with Delon, your write up promises a much better experience, I'll look it up

PatAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1911087927983597831.post-70576212699044789962015-11-13T08:53:50.450-05:002015-11-13T08:53:50.450-05:00So good to see a review of yours again, and of a b...So good to see a review of yours again, and of a book I would of course never read! :--) On the other hand, I *must* find a potpourri of "mélange de pisse, d'humidité et de moisi" - sounds perfect for the holidays! I'm sure I'd enjoy Izzo's style - this trilogy sounds gritty, moody and full of atmosphere. JacquiWinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16220597283351925721noreply@blogger.com
