Of course, the novel you mention seems even more all over the place in its structure and themes from the little I've read about it. By the way, I thought that one character's attack on originality was rather, um, novel myself!

*Nicole: LOL, one good thing about posting about a book you hate is that people can be reminded that you don't love just everything. As for the stuff that's more typically reviewed on the blog, ha ha, thanks, I think, but do you think that part of the answer to your question's the fact that I read so little compared to other bloggers that months with a Cortázar or a Marías or two really stand out proportionally? Maybe I don't read enough to run into too many duds. :DRichardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01746599416342846897noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1911087927983597831.post-22925629633495368512011-07-27T17:56:50.958-04:002011-07-27T17:56:50.958-04:00You know, Richard, thank goodness you hated Snow s...You know, Richard, thank goodness you hated Snow so much, because sometimes I can only feel jealousy when I read your blog. Why does everything you read seem to be so spectacularly fun and usually also spectacularly good? I must be in a slump.nicolehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17532641082944082516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1911087927983597831.post-28770879254235722502011-07-27T14:38:03.147-04:002011-07-27T14:38:03.147-04:00You seem to be enjoying Sabato. It did have a character in it though called Ernesto Sabato.

Always nice to see someone attacking the concept of originality.obookihttp://www.mjiles.com/obookispage/noreply@blogger.com
