But while <i>A Heart So White</i> contains numerous seeds that will flower in other ways in <i>Your Face Tomorrow</i>, I wouldn't be willing to let readers off the hook by offering the former as the 300 page version of the latter. Having read the latter first, I could almost sense Marías squirming to move his themes about secrets from the domestic to the political sphere.
