  1. Borges ponderaba muy bien a mister Wilkie Collins, si el maestro lo dice, es grosso.
La tapa que decora tu blog es la mejor de las tres. Especie de tapa de long play.

  2. Hola Mario: No sabía lo que dices sobre la opinión de Borges, pero estoy desfrutando la lectura de Collins hasta ahora. Estoy de acuerdo contigo en cuanto a la mejor tapa. ¡Saludos!

  3. You're teasing me! I've been away from blogosphere for a while so I thought maybe I had missed your review, but it doesn't appear that way. Are you enjoying the book?

  4. I had another Collins "tease" in mind for this week, Trish, but now it looks like I'll finish the book before I'm able to get to that. I'm down to the last 100 pages, and I think a positive review is in the bag unless Hartright gets arrested for jostling somebody again! It's been a fun read overall, though. Cheers!

  5. Nice covers! Love this book. Are you reading it in Spanish or English? I wonder if it's a good translation.

I once re-read a translated book in Spanish and they cut off a lot of parts.

  6. I finished The Woman in White in late October, Literary Stew, and read it in the Queen's English as they used to say when I was a pint-sized lad. Glad you liked the covers--and that translation story of yours is a great argument for reading works in their original languages as often as possible. Thanks for the visit (and sorry about the delay in the response)!
