    I have seen several intriguing posts on The Children; I want to pick that up. And there is one of the wonderful parts about blogging in events such as this, with links you have carefully documented; what exquisite avenues you open up, paths which have been previously unknown to me.

    I have been on a steady tear of the Man Booker long list, with the Book Temptress and others. Somehow, as good as they are (and this year is far superior to last year's list!) they are never quite as thrilling as translated literature is to me.
